Activity Groups

Looking for a new hobby, sport or just a great community of people to hang out with?
Try one of the many Woodland Activity Groups!

There is no commitment to these groups, other than pick an activity, sign up and go when they have an event! These are casual, event-based groups that may fluctuate with the seasons. You can try one, try another and another and another! Most of these groups are just show up and play.  You don't need to know anyone. Bring whomever you'd like, and just be ready to have fun!

disc golf club

Woodland Community Park will be hosting a BI-weekly handicap disc golf tournament through East Manatee Disc Golf Club. This will be a great way for the people of Woodland Community Church that are interested in the sport of disc golf to engage with locals from the community. Signups will begin at hole 1 every other Sunday at 7:00 AM and we will begin at 7:30. Handicap scores will be kept up with and giveaways will be given away for various closest to the pin shots for each tournament. We are excited to offer another great gift and resource God had given our church to reach the community, and have fun at the same time. Group leader is Daniel Sayne. Contact him at the button below.

Common Table

Bringing people back to the dinner table!

Everyday, like clockwork, we get hungry and have to work through the age-old question of "what's for dinner?".   Young or old, single, or married, with or without kids, we have to feed one or more persons each and every day.  Join us to learn a tried and true method for advance meal planning for a week or a month.  Find new recipes, new friends, and new methods for planning, shopping, prepping, and assembling meals that can be refrigerated to eat that week, or frozen to eat later in the month.  In this one day cooking class we will offer 12 meal selections. (You can make as many of the meals as you desire.)
The cost for the day is based on the number of meals you will be preparing. There is one class scheduled for each quarter of the year. Our last one this year is November 4!
