April 23 - Pastor Tim's Email

Woodland Family!
I continue to be inspired by the commitment of the Ministry Partners of Woodland as you remain faithful to worship, service and investment. Our influence has been expanding over these difficult weeks as we have connected with many people outside of the church who are looking for a place of help and hope. Not only have we seen this through worship, but we have also seen it through our community groups and acts of service to those who are in need in our community.
To keep you informed on Woodland opportunities, please read the information below.
Once again, we will be worshipping online this weekend, April 26th, at 9:00 and 10:55 am. We are anticipating the time when we will experience worship on campus. As decisions are being made by government officials regarding the lessening of stay at home restrictions, we are putting plans into place in preparation of providing worship at Woodland. This is being done with the health of attenders in mind by maintaining social distancing and adhering to other guidelines set out for us by our state leaders. Please be praying for us in this process. We know there are different opinions on when and how to conduct services. Our goal is to follow closely the specific instructions that our government sets out for group meetings.
Virtual Comedy Night is almost here! We’re having our annual comedy night in your house (or wherever you may be). Turn your place into a comedy club with some finger or comfort foods and sit back and enjoy in-demand nationally known comedian Dustin Nickerson. He’ll be coming to you straight from his house in San Diego, California. Jennifer and I will be emceeing the night. Make sure you invite your friends on social media!!!
Join us on Friday, April 24th, at 7:00 pm at

We’re not letting a pandemic keep us from serving or working toward future ministry. Our goal is to begin construction as soon as possible on our new educational and administrative space that will house our new Middle School, and staff. To raise funds, we are once again participating in the Giving Challenge conducted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota (www.cfsarasota.org). For every dollar you give, the foundation will match it up to $100. This is a great way for us to engage people both inside and outside of the church to raise funds to provide this needed space. The challenge takes place during a 24 hour period between noon April 28th and noon April 29th. We will be sending an email to you on the day of giving that will have a link to take you to our giving page. Our goal is to raise $200,000.
Thank you again for your continued involvement in reaching our community with the message of Jesus, growing in your faith as you become more like him, serving those who are in need around you and giving financially to support the sharing of God’s love to those in our community and around the world.
In HIS love,
Pastor Tim
