Welcome to Woodland

October 31, 2021

Every Day Matters.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
James 1:2-3

Welcome to Woodland!
We are excited to invest in your life today.
Our goal is to help you know that through God we have a life of hope, purpose and joy. You are worth the investment and we want to be a church who values who God created you to be.
You Matter! We’re glad you’re here!

- Pastor Tim Passmore

Current Series

Imagine the fully devoted Life

Do you have the book yet for the IMAGINE series and book study, written by our own Senior Pastor Tim Passmore. Imagine the Fully Devoted Life is a new message series and personal study beginning October 3rd. It's a series about self-discovery in how we relate to Jesus and others in our lives. We tackle 4 core topics: Testimony (A Story to Tell) Time (A Schedule to Keep), Talents (The Gifts to Use)  and Treasures (The Resources to Share). This is also a personal study which allows you to dig deeper in your own lives.
Imagine the Fully Devoted Life is a new message series and personal study that started Oct 3rd. We would love for everyone to be involved in this study! If you can't join a study now we will have a 4-week class starting January 9.

Thanksgiving Dinner & Business Meeting

Sunday, November 14

5:00p Dinner / 6:00p Meeting

This is a great opportunity for Ministry Partners to come and enjoy some fellowship over a Turkey Dinner where WE provide the meat, and the side dishes are up to you! It’s a old fashioned potluck - just bring a side of your liking to share OR a dessert. We’ll provide everything else.
Then immediately following the meal is our Annual Business Meeting. We vote on the new 2022 budget, and elect Deacons and Committee Members. This is for Ministry Partners of Woodland. No need to sign-up please just come!

Mega Feast: Middle School Students

Wednesday, November 10 @ 6:00p- 8:00p

If your student has never been to a Mega Feast, it is a large Thanksgiving dinner for our Middle School students. Mega Feast is a FREE Thanksgiving dinner to all students!  We will have games, giveaways and of course FOOD!  Times are from 6-8, feel free to invite any friends that you want to!
We will have a pre-dinner bonfire, lots of games and of course FOOD!  We challenge our current students to invite those who normally don't come to church, because who DOESN'T love a free Thanksgiving dinner?!

Middle School Mega Feast: Volunteers & Donations

We are hoping to get 100+ students to attend this event! This requires A LOT of volunteers and donated food. We really need YOU!
You can sign up at the link below.  All cooked items should be delivered to the Woodland kitchen by 5:30PM on Wednesday, the 10th.  At that time, our amazing volunteers will sort all of the donated food, prepare the serving tables and transform the gym into a Mega Feast Thanksgiving celebration!

If you would prefer to support this event financially, please consider purchasing a Walmart gift card, which we will use to purchase the remainder of the food. You can give the gift card to Pastor Sammy after Sunday services or on Wednesday nights in the student lobby.  The deadline for gift cards is Sunday, November 7th.

If you have ANY questions, please feel free to me at sammy@gowoodland.com, or Sally Cestero at sally@bayelectricco.com

Thank you all in advance!

Mega Feast: High School Edition

Sunday, November 21 @ 6:30p

On Sunday, November 21st, Woodland Student Ministries will host our annual High School MegaFeast to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Featuring heaps of turkey, stuffing, gravy and ALL the fixins followed by a bonfire and short message from our Student Pastors, this is one event that is always a favorite! Best yet, it's all FREE for students and their guests!

To make this banquet available to the students we need support from our church family! The only way we can offer this as a FREE event for our students is if we get donations of food. In addition to food donations, we will also need volunteers to serve our students.

Food donations will need to be delivered already cooked/heated and in disposable aluminum pans or trays to the church kitchen no later than 5:30 p.m. Food servers can arrive at 5:15 p.m. to receive donations and set up the serving line.
If you have any questions or need to schedule a special delivery time for your food donation, please contact our student pastor Connor Long at connor@gowoodland.com (941-894-7055) or contact Sally Cestero at sally@bayelectricco.com or 757-327-9348

Baby Dedications

God delights in children! He takes great pleasure in them. It is our desire as a church family to partner with parents on their child’s spiritual journey. It's a sweet time for parents to make a commitment before the Lord to submit their child to God’s will and to raise that child according to God’s word and God’s ways. Our next Baby Dedications will be on NOV 7! Simply click the button above to let us know you'd like to participate and we will be in touch soon! Feel free to also email Danielle with any questions you might have at danielle@gowoodland.com. Tap on the button to register!

Join us on the LINK journey to discover what we believe, why we believe it, and how to show the world, with Woodland. LINK is a 6-week journey discovering all that God has for you and how the Woodland Community can partner with you in your relationship with Christ. Our First Step is a Meet N Greet, so we can get to know you, and you can get to know us!
Each day is unique and a time to experience and show God's love. We believe that there can never be too much love in a community and our showing it has the potential to change a culture for the good. It happens when we live life together by encouraging one another and helping each other be who God created us to be. You Matter because you are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God, the Creator of the Universe.
Because YOU MATTER to Him, YOU MATTER to us.
Our Campus is called to provide a complete experience for followers of Christ, Monday through Sunday. We love to do life with people! The Lord is in our daily walk and He determines our footsteps. And In all of it, every day, we give God glory!
That’s what Every Day Matters means to us.
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do,
do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
