Welcome to Woodland

Sunday, October 2

The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24-26

Welcome to Woodland!
We are excited to invest in your life today.
Our goal is to help you know that through God we have a life of hope, purpose and joy. You are worth the investment and we want to be a church who values who God created you to be.
You Matter. We’re glad you’re here!

- Pastor Tim Passmore

New Series: Culture Shift

The world around us is rapidly changing as more people are turning away from God. This shift is eroding moral values in our society and has brought challenges in relationships, organizations and communities. God has called us to be agents of light in a world of darkness. We can make a difference! In the series HOW TO CHANGE A CULTURE, we will learn the types of people we need to be to positively impact those around us. Join us as we learn how we can bring hope to those who are losing their way.

The Value of One. The Power of Many.

The Lord has BIG plans for Woodland in 2023! Our ministries are expanding and God is moving. But our volunteer numbers aren’t where we’ll need them to be for expansion, so we are starting  a new volunteer initiative called #Betheone for our 2023 IMPACT TEAM.

Our “whys” are simple:
•The ONE helps fuel the ministry.
•Someone’s eternity will be affected by ONE helping.
•Every-ONE has been given gifts by God to use for ministry.

Be the ONE.

Our family at Woodland is driven by involved volunteers that understand and support our Mission. Our Every Day Matters model requires a lot of involvement and support not only by staff leading but by the 2800 members that call Woodland home. We currently only have 10% of our regular attenders volunteering for various serve positions on our campus. The church average is upwards of 20%. So we would like to challenge ourselves to be above the status quo!

When there is a need you may be the one!
• Be the one that steps up to a new opportunity at Woodland.
• Be the one to share your gifts that you have been given by God.
• Be the one to take responsibility for ministry happening all around us at Woodland.

Say a new “yes!” to what God has for you this next year in the area of service on the IMPACT Team. Take a look at the positions you may be able to say “yes!” to this next year, prayerfully consider what the Lord may be asking you to do- then commit. We’ll make it fun!

Be the ONE.

Thank you for your consideration!

The Woodland Community

Every Day Matters.

We are a Church. We are an Academy of Schools. We are a Community Center.

We are a community for the Community. We have playground facilities, picnic areas, a fitness trail, a Performing Arts Center, a volleyball court and much more!  We offer something for everyone! We desire for anyone and everyone to be connected and stay connected at Woodland. We were created to be in Community with each other. Take a look around at our website and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or we can help get you plugged in! We have ministries for pre-school all the way up to retired adults. Small Groups, Youth Conferences, Activity Groups, Major Community Events, a Disc Golf Club, A Fine Arts Academy and more - something for everyone!

We offer two weekend services—Sunday at 9:00AM  and 10:55AM. The message is the same in both services. The worship style in  the 9:00AM service is a blended form of new & traditional worship, while the worship style at 10:55AM is more contemporary.

Our Woodland Culture says: EVERY DAY MATTERS.
Every Day is a great day to love God, love people, and do something about it!

Our Woodland Culture says: YOU MATTER.
Our worth is connected to our Creator. If God is of great and inestimable worth, then human beings made in his image are of great value, too–  regardless if they believe in him yet or not. In light of this truth, how do we affirm the dignity of the people around us? At Woodland, we believe it’s by having a heart posture and actions that say "You Matter" by showing them the pure and complete love of Jesus Christ.

Please contact if we can answer any questions or help you in any way! We are here to serve you and serve the community of Manatee County and Surrounding Areas!
