2022 Woodland Mission trips

MIAMI - Church Plant Partnership
Date: July 9-16, 2022
Who: 8th (Just completed 7th) - 12th Grade Mission Experience
Cost: $300-500
Leadership: Connor Long/ Sammy Duran

This trip will be an amazing week for our Woodland Students to be pushed out of their comfort zone, grow in their relationship with God, and serve the Greater Miami Area! We will be partnering with local church plants in the area who partner with the Florida Baptist Convention. We are still unsure what specific churches we will be partnering with, but the work we will be doing will vary from painting and mild contruction, to contact work such as a VBS. We will let you know more information as we find out. Students will stay together in a dorm environment, one for girls and guys, with service during the day and team gatherings in the evening. We are super excited about this new opportunity for Students in the church to serve together and begin instilling a love for missions in even some of our younger students! Estimated cost will be around $500 depending on accommodations/food//etc, but the team will be fundraising to bring the personal cost down. If you have ANY questions, please feel free to email Connor Long at

This trip is currently filled but we do have a wait list: CLICK HERE TO REGISTER!

New Mexico

Navajo Nation
Date: May 28 - June 4, 2022
Who: Rising HS Senior, College Student, & Adult Trip
Cost: $1400/person
Team Goal: $15,000
Leadership: Daniel Elias

We are going to the Navajo Nation!
Nine of us from Woodland Community Church are going to the Navajo Nation from May 28th through June 4th.  We will be doing an interior renovation of a Guest House that will be used to host future mission teams (Tse Bonito, NM) and partnering with a Youth Center (Fort Defiance, AZ) in their daily ministry to their community.  Through it all, we will be sharing the love of Christ to a community that needs to know that God loves them and that is the reason He came to save us through His death and resurrection.
How can you partner with us?
There are two ways you can “go” with us through your prayers and financial giving.
Prayer is essential to everything we do in the name of Christ.  Would you begin to pray that God will prepare our hearts for who/what we will encounter there?  Also, pray for the hearts of those whom we will be ministering.  In addition, prayers for God to provide the team’s financial goal of $15,000 are appreciated.  If God has blessed you and you are able to give towards this goal, we say thank you in advance for your partnership.  We look forward to seeing how God will answer these prayers and provide the resources needed to do His work among the Navajo people.

This will be an amazing experience, but will include very strenuous physical activity due to the terrain. This trip is targeted to incoming HS seniors, college & adult trip. This is an incredible opportunity to get in on the ground floor of their ministry to the native population who is hungry for the gospel! Cost will be around $1,400 depending on flights, but the team will be fundraising to bring the personal cost down. A $50 deposit is due upon registration to secure your spot. You can pay now with a credit or debit card. For more information or to ask questions, please contact Dewayne McFarlin at

Date: TBD possible Fall 2022
Who: Rising HS Senior, College Student, & Adult Trip
Cost: $3500-5000
Leadership: Jeff McCauley

WE'RE GOING BACK TO PERU! After a 5 year wait, it's happening! Having created this partnership back in 2017, we are BEYOND EXCITED to be announcing that we are returning in the fall of 2022! While we know this is a ways off, this trip requires more fundraising and preparation than 1 year can manage.

Participants will serve in native settlements along the wide Ucayali River where the main source of personal transportation is still a dugout canoe. We'll travel and live on an Amazon riverboat where we'll serve the Shipibo Tribe. The local minsitry we will be working with, through Ricardo and Gloria, has been reaching the people of the Ucayali River for Jesus by boat for over 25 years. They bring teams on their large sailing vessel, The Evangelista, to expand their work by bringing the good news to the people along the river. We will be a part of a ministry expedition to serve, share expereinces, and learn from villagers. The mission will be to help educate, develop relationships, take part in construction projects, be a part of church activities, and assist in micro-business development.

Initial registration is open today, however team planning and gathering won't begin until early 2022. Secure your spot today and begin your personal fundraising! For more information or to ask questions, please contact Jeff McCauley at

KENYA 2022
Date: TBD
Who: Rising HS Senior, College Student, & Adult Trip
Cost: $3500-5000
Leadership: Michelle Lingle & Ernie McFarland

Join us in Africa, at the Fiwagoh Mission Orphanage as we serve  285 children and staff.  Our time in Africa will include partnering with Pastor Benson, his wife and their staff to provide day to day assistance around the orphanage. We would love for our team of 12,  from the states,  to include professional adults in the dental, vision and medical field.   The kids at the orphanage LOVE spending time with us, so there is a lot of time spent building relationships with the kids through hiking and nature walks, organized games and activities, including small group time with them prior to bedtime.

If you are flexible and willing to spend a concentrated amount of time investing in the lives of some of the most amazing children, please consider joining us to serve.  While this team has room for teens through adults, it is preferred that each teen is partnered with a parent or guardian.  Health care professionals that are interested in serving, once you declare your interest, we will work in advance to set up screenings, and seek an advance list of health concerns that may be present so that we are as prepared as possible for making the biggest impact possible.
Initial registration will be open soon. Keep your eyes peeled for that! Team planning and gathering won't begin until early 2022. For more information or to ask questions, please contact Michelle Lingle at
