Woodland Kidz

“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”
Luke 2:52

Welcome to Woodland Kidz, our birth through 5th grade ministry here at Woodland!
We are so thankful that you have come to see what Woodland Kids is all about. Our desire is to help kids grow up to be like Jesus and to understand that every day is a great day to love God, love people, and do something about it. With that desire, we believe church should be a place where children:
1. Grow in their Faith.
2. Connect with leaders and friends.
3. Serve others
4. Have fun in a safe environment.
We provide two unique experiences for children and families throughout the year, one at church and the other at home.

AT WOODLAND

SUNDAY

Sunday Mornings at Woodland 9 or 10:55am

Nursery and Preschool age children (birth through pre-K4): On Sunday mornings we have age-appropriate classes for nursery and preschool age children (birth through pre-K4) located in our preschool wing. Through interactive worship, crafts, games, and centers, children will learn about the God who made them, loves them, and wants to be their friend forever.

Elementary age children (kindergarten through 5th grade): On Sunday mornings we have worship services specially designed for elementary age children (kindergarten through 5th grade) in the Tree House. A typically Woodland Kidz service includes large-group and small-group environments, separated by grades and gender (club 54). Large group is a time of high-energy worship with fun games and an engaging Bible story. Small groups are the place where kids will go deeper into the lesson through fun activities or discussion questions.

For more information about our Sunday Mornings at Woodland for children please use the form at the bottom of this page to contact our children’s department.

WEDNESDAY

Kidz Choir: During the school year, 3 year olds to 5th graders can participate in Woodland Kidz Choir 5:30 to 6:15pm.  Kidz Choir is a time for children to use their gifts and talents to praise God. Each Wednesday, kids will learn about worship and prepare songs for a variety of performances throughout the year.

Adventure Club:  Adventure Club meets Wednesday evenings, 6:15 to 7:30pm in the Treehouse during the school year. Through a different theme each week, Adventure Club helps children learn the theology of the Bible through large group teaching, scripture memorization, small group life application, and an at home experience. Each week there are fun activities to complete and Bible verses from the lessons to memorize.  Adventure Club is a fun way for children to learn and memorize the truths about scripture. Child Baptism

Water baptism declares publicly what has happened privately

If children have expressed interest in getting baptized or have made a decision to trust Jesus as Lord and Savior, we encourage them to sign up for an upcoming Child Baptism Class. During the 45-minute class children and their parent(s) hear what it means to be a Christian as well as what Baptism is and looks like. The class in offered virtually and in-person. If you feel that your child is ready to take the next faith step by being baptized, please sign up through the link below.
CHILD DEDICATION
Through the year we offer special Dedication Sundays. Those Sundays are an amazing opportunity to have your child dedicated during one of our services. Child dedication is the act of coming before the church and declaring that you will raise your son or daughter in the ways of the Lord. Any age child can be dedicated. Before the service on dedication Sunday, we will have a time of connecting and growing for you and your little one. For more information about having your child dedicated please use the form below.

SAFETY, SECURITY, AND CLEANLINESS
The safety of our children is of upmost priority at Woodland. All adults serving are background-checked, screened, and trained. Each adult serving is identified with a yellow lanyard. We have a two-adult minimum for all classrooms. Computer-generated sticker name tags identify adults authorized to pick up children. The entrance to our children’s areas are secured 20 minutes after services start and opened 10 minutes prior to the close of the service.
All classrooms are cleaned and sanitized prior to the arrival of children as well as between services. If a volunteer or a child has had any symptoms of illness within the last 24 hours that person is not allowed to serve or attend. All items in each classroom are sanitized and washed as needed. Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers are located in each classroom and around the area.
If you would like to see a copy of our Policy and Procedures for more detail information, use the form below to ask.

VOLUNTEERING
We are always looking for volunteers who can help children grow to be like Jesus -- volunteers who can lead a small-group activity, be another set of eyes, or simply love and play with God’s children. We want each child to grow up having a deeper relationship with God. You can be assured that as a member of our team, you will make a difference in a child’s life! We have opportunities every Sunday that you can fill.
Will you volunteer with us by serving one hour once a month?
If you’d like to volunteer in one of our children’s environments, we would love to introduce ourselves and find the perfect fit for you on this team.
Please use the form below to contact us so that we can begin the process of connecting you with our ministry.
