You
are
loved.

Our Care Team helps to bear the burdens of others who are going through a hard time or significant transition. In fact, our Care Team is the duct tape of church ministry; we set up care for anything that is broken or perhaps needs encouragement.

MEET OUR TEAM CHAMPIONS

Melanie RIchards

Bereavement Champion
Melanie and her team help in the prayerful and pastoral journey with the dying and their families. They also assist the family in preparation and planning of all Funeral rites. Our Champion is Melanie Richards who has a wonderful compassion for those going through bereavement.

Vicki & Cliff Hofferbert

Compassion Champions
Our Compassion Team assists in Nursing Home visits, transportation to church services or events, Meal Train support for those healing after hospitalization or during hospice, letters of encouragement to those going through crisis or hardship, and any other needs that arise among the families within our care at Woodland. Our Champions for these areas are Vicki & Cliff Hofferbert who have served at Woodland in this compassion related capacity for a few years now.
The Hoefferberts also host  ‘The Classy Chicks Club' for elderly women who may not be able to get out much. This group meets once a month as the women are treated as queens with fancy punch bowls, fine china and good conversation!
Lastly, we also have a very special guest who likes to visit shut-ins or assisted living facilities, “Ivory” our Therapy Sheep! Yes, a sheep. She is always ready to share her love!

How can we help?

Welcome to The Woodland CARE Ministry!

Our CARE Team Ministry is called upon when needs arise. This team helps to bear the burdens of others who are going through a hard time or a significant transition in life (Galatians 6:2). Our Care Team is the duct tape of church ministry; we help set up care for anything that is broken or perhaps needs encouragement.
First, our CARE Team helps in the prayerful and pastoral journey with the dying and their families. They also assist the family in preparation and planning of all Funeral rites. Our Champion for this team is Melanie Richards who has a wonderful compassion for those going through bereavement.

Another aspect of our CARE Team assists in Nursing Home visits, transportation to church services or events, Meal Train support for those healing after hospitalization or during hospice, letters of encouragement to those going through crisis or hardship, and any other needs that arise among the families within our care at Woodland. Our Champions for these areas are Vicki & Cliff Hoefferbert who have served at Woodland in this compassion related capacity for a few years now.

She is always ready to share her love. If you're interested in a visit from IVORY just tap the button below to let us know.

We share this new CARE Team with you so whether you feel compelled to serve within this team or you are in need of compassion of some sort, we want to hear from you and connect! Please either tape one of the buttons above to the team you are needing assistance from or visit our Welcome Desk or IMPACT Desk to ask for one of our Champions, Mel Richards, Vicki or Cliff Hofferbert.
