Growing up in Manatee County, I have seen this community change significantly over the years. From a two-lane State Road 70 to a six-lane congested highway. From cow pastures off of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard to large shopping plazas. In the last 16 years, the population of Manatee County has grown by 47%, with most of that growth occurring in East Manatee County. No wonder there is a Publix on every street corner with growth like that! The growth in this community isn’t gonna stop soon, as the county is projecting 70,000 new residents by 2030.

Before you pack up your bags and put your house on the market, take a step back and think about the amazing opportunity God has given Woodland. Woodland is strategically placed in the middle of all of this growth. As a church, we can be a place where our community experiences God’s presence, finds genuine community, and knows the hope and love of Jesus Christ. To be that church is why our five Ministry Teams exist. Next month, you will be able to learn about and sign up for one of our Ministry Teams. Change can be frustrating, but change can be an opportunity from God for ministry.

On Sunday, August 30, come and be a part of what the Lord has in store for the future at Woodland. First we will meet on official church business. Hear from the Committees and learn how the Lord continues to work in our church. Then, we will have a time of worship led by our Young Adults Ministry. Anyone can attend, members may vote.

Find a small group that best fits you. What's a Small Group? Teaching, Fellowship, Breaking of Bread, and Prayer with fellow believers. Small groups are where you find your family, grow in your relationship with Christ, and and build each other up.

Adventure Club exists to strengthen the Body of Christ by equipping children with biblical truth and spiritual disciplines, while reaching those who do not yet know Christ through a welcoming, fun, and relational environment that invites them to discover God.

Adventure Club meets Wednesday evenings, 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Treehouse.  We are going “back to the basics” - learning foundational truths about the Bible, God & Jesus, and spiritual disciplines. So whether your child knows the Lord or is new to Faith… Everyone will learn something this year!

Whether you're new to our church or you've been attending for a while and are ready to take the next step, this class will answer four key questions: Who is Woodland? What does Woodland believe? How does Woodland operate? And how can you be part of Woodland? You'll walk away with a clear picture of our identity, our core beliefs, how our church functions day to day, and the practical path toward membership. Attendance is required for anyone pursuing membership at Woodland — so if you're ready to go deeper, this is where to start.
